Bihar News: SP put 5 policemen in lockup for negligence in work, Police Association said – ‘will not tolerate this’

A video of Bihar Police is becoming increasingly viral in which five policemen including the officer are locked in a lockup. This action was taken by the SP of Nawada. After this action of the SP, there is a lot of anger in the police department. Meanwhile, Bihar Police Association and Bihar Police Men’s Association have demanded action against the SP.

Angry SP shuts down policemen for negligence

According to the information received, Nawada’s SP Gaurav Mangla had reached the Nagar police station at around 9 pm on Thursday night to review the cases. Angered by the negligence found in the work and not disposing of a case on time, the SP put 5 policemen in lockup. The CCTV footage of the five policemen locked up in the police station has come to the fore. In this video, the five policemen can be seen talking to each other inside the lockup.

There was a ruckus after the video surfaced

According to the information, the SP kept these policemen in lockup for 2 hours. According to the allegations, this action was taken due to the poor performance of five police officers of the city police station. The police officers who have been locked up include SI Shatrughan Paswan, SI Ramprekha Singh, ASI Santosh Paswan, ASI Sanjay Singh and Rameshwar Oraon. There has been a ruckus due to the appearance of these pictures of Nawada. The Bihar Police Association has demanded an inquiry into the entire matter from the Police Headquarters.

Police Association demanded registration of FIR

The Bihar Police Association has strongly objected to this incident. State President of Police Association Mrityunjay Kumar Singh has demanded to register an FIR against Nawada SP Dr. Gaurav Mangla. The association has expressed apprehension that the important evidence of the incident may be tampered with from the CCTV footage. Therefore, its footage should be investigated and action should be taken under the law. The association has described the action of the SP as a step to break the morale of the police officers. On the other hand, SP Gaurav Mangla has denied this allegation. Along with this, Inspector Vijay Kumar Singh, the city police station has also denied this incident.
